    This woman hurt and alienated me when I was barely 13 years old during my first bout of clinical depression, anxiety, and suicidality. My family came to her to find help for me, and we were instead met with accusations of me making everything up and only pretending to be depressed to manipulate my parents, in addition to calling me "grandiose" and "spoiled." Needless to say, her conclusions were completely ridiculous and out of touch with reality, and her insults particularly cruel when waged against a 13-year-old. I cried in each of the few sessions we had together, while she and the social worker accompanying her used those moments of vulnerability as opportunities to mockingly prod at and condescend me even more. Maybe if I'd had a good first experience with psychiatry, I wouldn't have gone on to spiral further down into my depression and attempt suicide numerous times throughout my teen years. If she is still in practice, PLEASE keep your children far, far away from her -- she will likely only make it worse.
