Mika Ennis, B.Sc., R. Ac. is a registered acupuncturist who has found her true calling in the field of acupuncture and holistic health. After starting her career as an Environmental Scientist, she realized that something was missing in her work and longed to make a positive impact while feeling a spark of passion and connection. Her journey towards acupuncture began when she personally experienced the physical and mental relaxation benefits of acupuncture during a time of anxiety and stress. Mika completed her Diploma of Acupuncture at MacEwan University, a decision she considers one of the best she has ever made. During her studies, she had the opportunity to further her knowledge and skills by traveling to Zhengzhou, China, where she completed an internship at the Henan University of Chinese Medicine. This experience allowed her to deepen her understanding of acupuncture and gain valuable insights into the field. Known for her compassion, attention to detail, and dedication to her patients, Mika is committed to continuously learning and seeking answers to enhance the quality of life for those she treats. She has pursued post-graduate studies in various areas, including sports injury, sciatica, shoulder injuries, advanced neck needling, advanced cupping techniques, hormonal imbalances, infertility, pregnancy, and postpartum care. By staying up-to-date with the latest research and techniques, Mika ensures that she can provide the best possible care for her patients. Outside of her professional life, Mika enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and two children. She also finds solace in the company of cats while indulging in reading books or listening to podcasts on health, wellness, and comedy. This passion for continuous learning and personal well-being reflects her commitment to holistic health and overall wellness.
