Kate Talbot Bio

Kate Talbot is a registered Acupuncturist and Herbalist with a strong background in both western medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). She has been practicing acupuncture and herbal medicine since 2014 and has been a member of the Alberta Herbalist Association since 2017. With a focus on pharmacology and physiology in her western medicine studies, Kate has developed a unique ability to bridge the gap between western medicine and TCM. This allows her to integrate acupuncture and herbal medicine into the treatment of conditions that are managed with western medicine approaches. By combining the perspectives of both medical systems, Kate is able to provide comprehensive and holistic care to her patients. Kate graduated from MacEwan University's Acupuncture Program in 2013. She further honed her skills through an observer mentorship under the guidance of Fulin Wang, PhD Epidemiology, MD (China), who has over 25 years of experience as a TCM practitioner. In her practice, Kate believes in identifying the root causes of health issues rather than solely treating symptoms. By addressing the underlying causes, she aims to provide the best opportunity for the resolution of her patients' ailments. She takes a patient-centered approach, developing well-constructed treatment plans with realistic expectations. Honesty and open communication are integral to her practice, contributing to her impressive success rate in helping her patients. Kate is known for her professional, compassionate, and effective care. She strives to create a comfortable and supportive environment for her patients, where they can feel heard and understood. Through her expertise in acupuncture and herbal medicine, Kate is dedicated to helping her patients achieve improved health and overall well-being.
