Dr. Stephanie Beveridge Bio

Dr. Stephanie Beveridge B.A, MSc, DC I am an Ontario native drawn to the water, I completed my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Master’s in Kinesiology on the East coast in Halifax, Nova Scotia and St. John’s, Newfoundland. I then completed a Doctor of Chiropractic degree at the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon following my dreams of health and wellness. After falling in love with everything the west coast had to offer, I knew pursuing my career in Kelowna was the right choice. Growing up in an active environment, I committed to competitive figure skating for many years. As I became more invested in the sport, an injury plagued me with chronic pain on and off for many years. In searching many medical paths for aid and relief there was no avail. After finally seeking out chiropractic care and yoga practice, I had found the fix for me. It was these inspiring events that lead me towards specialized training in chiropractic and yoga practices in order to share and give to others the same great experiences I had. I understand the frustrations of pain and injury and am committed to helping you through yours. I am an avid learner and have explored many seminars to expand my knowledge base for my patients. These include ART, Clinical Neurodynamics, RockTape, Fascial Distortion, Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS), Motion Palpation Institute (MPI), among many more. I am passionate about being involved in the community and cannot wait to get to know Kelowna much better. Through previous volunteer and outreach, I know how important it is to stay engaged with the community and plan on becoming familiar with the people that make up this wonderful city. I am a yoga enthusiast who enjoys spending my time traveling and exploring new places locally and throughout the world. I am working towards traveling to all 7 continents by the age of 40, with only 3 left to discover. I also love new physical challenges and as of recent have set goals to complete a sprint triathlon. When not in adventure mode, I like to have balance in my life- where I enjoy cooking, floating, and relaxing baths. I am very passionate about health and wellness and am eager to help empower your understanding of natural care for a lifetime of good health.

It's great that you're considering chiropractic care for various conditions. Chiropractors can indeed provide treatments to address neuromusculoskeletal issues, including those related to scoliosis, hip and pelvis pain, and shoulder arthritis. However, it's important to consult with a qualified healthcare professional, such as a local chiropractor, to determine the most appropriate treatment approach for your specific situation.

For scoliosis, chiropractic care may involve spinal adjustments and exercises aimed at improving posture and reducing spinal curvature. A chiropractor can assess the severity of scoliosis and provide appropriate treatment recommendations.

In the case of hip and pelvis pain, chiropractors can assess the underlying cause of the pain and provide treatments such as spinal adjustments, soft tissue therapy, exercises, and other modalities to alleviate symptoms and promote healing.

Regarding shoulder arthritis, chiropractors may offer non-surgical treatment options to help manage the condition. These options can include rest, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications (NSAIDs), chiropractic adjustments to improve range of motion, corticosteroid injections, and heat/cold therapy. However, the specific treatment plan would depend on the individual's condition and should be discussed with a chiropractor.

Remember, while chiropractic care can be beneficial for many individuals, it's important to have a thorough evaluation by a qualified healthcare professional to ensure that the treatments are appropriate for your specific needs. Consulting with a local chiropractor would allow you to discuss your condition in detail and determine the best course of action.
