We all forget things as we age, but that doesn’t mean we have dementia. Dementia isn’t just one condition - it’s a term that refers to symptoms that cause a decline in mental ability that interferes with daily life. Alzheimer's is the most common type of dementia and accounts for 60 to 80 percent of cases. Vascular dementia is the second most common dementia type and occurs after a stroke. Memory loss that worsens over time can be another type of dementia.  Pour plus d'informations et les services locaux des psychiatres locaux à Montréal et à Québec PQ, contactez votre psychiatre local

This so-called doctor should have his licence revoked. He is only loyal to whomever pays his fees. He provided a false assessment of me and traumatized me in the appointment. At the end, he nodded off. Uninterested and uncaring.

He dropped the ball. Maybe he should move on from "Practicing" Psychiatry and just lecture at a University. Dr. Spivak is very intelligent, and knowledgeable in his field, however, there is something very important missing from him. His ability to listen and not always have to be right all of the time. He does not like to hear about what is happening with the patient. All he is concerned about and has tome me on numerous occasions is that he is not into psychotherapy. His role is to give medication and medication only. Wow., he is a pill doctor, period Amen. So, if one needs cognitive behavior therapy, do not go to him.

Dr. Mitch Spivak should be banned from practice. He actually told me to and I quote to - go somewhere and quietly kill myself - end quote. A doctor who is not able to handle the emotions of patients with borderline personality disorder should not be in general practice at a major hospital ( Rockyveiw General Hospital in Calgary Alberta) He should be sued for telling mentally ill patients to kill themselves. He is completely unprofessional and probably graduated at the bottom of his class in med school because that is all Alberta Health Services hires is people who graduated at the bottom of their classes and barely scraped through med school. This man is going to be responsible for someones suicide one of these days.
