It's crucial to continue receiving vaccinations throughout life to protect against infectious diseases that haven't been eradicated and to maintain immunity against those for which immunity wanes over time.

The emergence of antibiotic resistance has indeed made the treatment of certain infections more challenging. Vaccination plays a critical role in preventing infections in the first place, reducing the need for antibiotics and helping to curb the development of antibiotic resistance.

Some vaccines, like the tetanus vaccine, require booster shots because the immunity they provide gradually decreases over time. By staying up to date with such vaccinations, adults can ensure they maintain optimal protection against preventable diseases.

Moreover, adult immunization has broader benefits beyond personal protection. By getting vaccinated, healthy adults contribute to the concept of herd immunity. This means that when a significant portion of the population is immune to a disease, it creates a protective barrier that helps prevent its spread and protects those who are most vulnerable, such as young children, the elderly, and individuals with weakened immune systems.

It's important to have open and regular discussions about immunization with primary healthcare providers. They can provide guidance on the appropriate vaccines and schedules based on individual health status, age, occupation, travel plans, and other relevant factors. By staying proactive and getting vaccinated as adults, we can collectively reduce the burden of infectious diseases and help protect ourselves and others.

I’m stuck with home, sadly. It’s hard to find another one. He is condescending, insensitive and racist. He is efficient (I hope) so I’m in and out of his office.

I have been with Dr. Lee for about 2 years now, and he was recommended by my neurologist. My many years of seeing many different doctors, Dr Lee is very efficient and thorough. He even calls to follow up with lab results and or after my ER visits. No sugar coating and he explains things in a simple way without all the technical terms to me which helps a lot.

I've been going to Dr. Lee for about 10 years now and am very pleased with the care that I receive from him. I love his honesty, straight forward approach. I don't want a doctor to sugar coat things. I know not every one appreciates his honesty but I sure do. I trust his opinion.

Have stayed on as a patient of Dr Lee only because family physicians are so hard to find. However his condescending manner and attitude have become unexceptionable. I feel my future health care will be better served by another physician one who listens to his/her patients

Dr. Lee can by misunderstood as being too honest, but he has the right instincts as a doctor and also cares deeply for his patients. If you can get over his straight forward attitude and blunt language, he is actually a great family doctor!

I love this doctor. He is blunt, honest and tells it like it is. Love his sarcastic sense of humour but if you have a sensitive personality, you might not find him funny. He is always on time, doesn't waste my time making small talk- gets right now to the point. Finally a doctor who knows his stuff And won't let me make excuses for health things that are my responsibility. So glad to have found him.

Dr. Lee is not anyone I would recommend. This doctor was completely rude to my husband who has a mental illness and not only that, to his wife who was trying to get assistance for him. He also was exceptionally rude on more than one occasion and condescending. We had to actually call a few times to get him to prescribe something. It was really bad. We are actually considering on reporting him to College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia. It was THAT bad. Completely inappropriate behaviour and performance as a Doctor.

I’m shocked at how condescending and disrespectful Dr. Michael Lee is. I believe he is mentally unstable and should not be practicing in family medicine. He speaks with such contempt and disregard that it was chilling. When asking questions in regards to medication being given due to there being prior complications with that exact medication, I was yelled at. “JESUS CHRIST. Don’t interrupt me.” I felt belittled, isolated, and discouraged at the end of the appointment. He has terrible bedside manner and should be ashamed of his behaviour.

This doctor is one of the most mentally unstable I have ever seen. Not only he gives rushed consultations but he also puts you down, his comments are insulting, and they put you down. He is mentally challenged, and in my opinion he should not have a licence. After 8 years as his patient, he never ever give me the care I was in title. His routine comment to my pain was, “what more do you want be greatful you are still alive “ In retrospect I strongly believe he mistaken his specialty... HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN A GYNAECOLOGIST ????
