Dr. Ken Poon graduated from the UBC Urology Residency Program in 2003. He practices Urology with a special interest in male infertility in the Metropolitan Vancouver area. He is primarily based at Richmond Hospital but also practices at Delta Hospital, Vancouver Hospital, and the Pacific Centre for Reproductive Medicine. Dr. Poon’s scope of practice includes general Urology including expertise in prostate cancer surgery, bladder cancer surgery, reconstruction of the urinary tract, laser stone surgery, and minimally invasive (laparoscopic) kidney surgery.

Dr. Poon undertook additional training in the subspecialty areas of male infertility and andrology at Northwestern University in 2008.

Positions held include President of the British Columbia Urological Society, Urology Representative to the Society of Specialist Physicians and Surgeons at the BCMA from 2006-2008 and Head Department of Surgery Richmond Hospital. He is a clinical instructor at the University of British Columbia. He is involved in the training of medical students as well as residents in the Department of Urologic Sciences and Department of Family Practice.
