Cancer: Ovarian Cancer

Ovarian cancer begins in the ovaries, which are located on each side of the uterus and produce eggs and the hormones estrogen and progesterone. Ovarian cancer often goes undetected until it has spread within the pelvis and abdomen, as there may be no early symptoms. Treatment generally involves surgery and chemotherapy.
