Dr. Earl Nussbaum trained in Cardiology at McGill University between 1992-1994, and was the Chief Cardiology Resident from 1993-1994. His expertise is in Clinical Cardiology as well as echo and stress echocardiography. Dr. Nussbaum did a fellowship in echocardiography at the Jewish General Hospital, with specific emphasis on stress echocardiography. He then went on staff at the Jewish General Hospital as well as Valleyfield General Hospital unit 1997, when he moved to Toronto to open a Stress Echo lab. Prior to Cardiology, Dr. Nussbaum trained as a General Internist and practiced as an Internist at both the Montreal General Hospital and Valleyfield General Hospital. He was Director of the ICU at VGH. Dr. Nussbaum has a very strong interest in teaching. He set up and ran the stress testing course for the McGill Cardiology program, and started a Family Medicine lecture series while at VGH. He has also done many CME lectures in Toronto. His love for teaching integrates into his practice, where he takes great pleasure explaining issues to patients and communicating with the referring physicians.
