Andrea Box Bio

Andrea Box is a registered physiotherapist with a clinical doctorate in Physical Therapy. She has recently returned to North Shore Sports medicine clinic after practicing in central Washington for five years. During her time in the US, Andrea gained significant experience in postoperative rehabilitation, including procedures such as rotator cuff and ACL reconstruction, lumbar fusions and laminectomy/decompressions, surgical fixation of fractures, hip surgeries, and both partial and total knee replacements. Andrea utilizes a combination of joint and soft tissue manual therapy along with personalized strength, mobility, and coordination exercises to treat a wide range of injuries, including those related to sports, work, motor vehicle accidents, pregnancy, and acute or chronic conditions. She also has a strong interest in vestibular rehabilitation and has experience in treating conditions such as BPPV, dizziness, and balance deficits. Andrea is skilled in treating jaw/TMJ dysfunction and often incorporates addressing postural, neck, and headache symptoms in her treatment approach. Andrea earned her clinical doctorate in Physical Therapy from Marquette University after completing her bachelor's degree in Human Biology while being a part of Marquette's NCAA Div I track and field team. She took a one-year hiatus between degrees to compete for Canada on the national bobsled team. Additionally, Andrea holds a certified strength and conditioning specialist designation and has worked as a personal trainer for a diverse range of clients, including youth soccer teams and Olympic snowboarders. Returning to the active North Shore community and working with its active patient population is a great honor and privilege for Andrea. She personally enjoys outdoor activities such as jogging, hiking, snowboarding, snow-shoeing, and rock-climbing. Andrea is excited to once again partner with the people of the North Shore to help them stay active, move well, and regain their ability to perform the work, recreational activities, and daily tasks that are important to them.
