I specialize in relational psychotherapy, which is based on relationships. We are always "in relation" to someone each and every day, and we are affected negatively or positively by these exchanges. Relational psychotherapy focuses on who we are and how we relate to others, with the belief that this is formed early on. Once we come to understand what we believe to be the truth about ourselves, we also realize that these beliefs come from the responses and messages others gave us in childhood. Challenging these old beliefs is what makes change possible. The relational psychotherapist is actively involved in the entire process of connecting the old ways of relating with the new.
