This equipment and the exercises performed on it are unique to Pilates and the workouts help to rehabilitate injuries, improve posture and increase movement potential. The exercises are performed in reclining, sitting, kneeling and standing positions. They are low impact and use either gravitational or spring resistance.

Modifications to exercises, exercise choices and piece of equipment chosen allow for a range of difficulty ranging from beginning to advanced.
