Video Title: Sinusitis Surgery Prognosis and Post Surgical Care
Duration: 1 minute, 9 seconds

Sinus surgery has gone through many advancements, particularly in the last couple of decades, and we have learned the anatomy and physiology much – we understand it much better than we ever did.

Then we’ve got this very amazing technology that we combine with it, and it has come to the point where we are doing it so that patients can actually wake up to of surgery, breathe perfectly, no packing in their nose, and a lot of them will go back to work within a week.

Most of them will actually go home the same day. It’s all done under general anesthetic, because we are working in the middle of your face. It can technically be done under local, but we prefer to do it under general anesthetic.

Most of these patients will actually go home the same day and be walking around the same evening and basically be on their iPads and computers the next day.

The next advancement in sinus surgery that’s coming down the line is balloon sinuplasty, and that is something that we’re very interested in at present.

If you have any questions, you can go speak to your family doctor or go to your local sinus specialist.
