Registered massage therapists help with whiplash is an injury that you experience, that most people experience, from car accidents. You can also have it from a sports injury. The technical term for whiplash in the medical literature is whiplash associated disorders, or WAD, and that’s what we’re going to refer to it as today. WAD happens when your head is thrown about, usually forward and sometimes backwards and side to side and treatment from a local RMT Registered Massage Therapist .

It can be any other direction but that’s the general idea. And it’s an acceleration, deacceleration injury when the neck structures have to respond to that force that comes into you.The types of symptoms that you might expect after a car accident and a whiplash injury would be anywhere from moderate to no symptoms at all. And the moderate symptoms generally consist of stiffness in the neck, some mild achiness, maybe some mild headache, and you might feel that you’re more sensitive to cold than you normally are.

The more severe symptoms that people might feel are ringing in the ears, dizziness, loss of memory and pain coming down their arms. With whiplash injuries, there are many factors that go into deciding how much pain you’re going to be in.The force of the impact is one, and in some cases – not all cases – people have what they call low velocity injuries, where it’s a slow-moving, low-impact, but the patient experiences a lot of pain afterwards.

And a lot of patients have really bad injuries and have no pain afterwards, and so what’s the difference? The difference is the intangible factors that come into deciding how much pain you have. One of them – or a couple of them – are social factors and often seeing a local RMT Registered Massage Therapist .

So, how your social life, your home life, your work life is going. If you’re experiencing any anxiety and depression at the time. Also, general health will affect how much pain you experience, so the better your health the less impact it’s going to have, the worse your health you’re going to experience more pain.Women also tend to experience more pain after car accidents and whiplash injuries, and it’s generally thought it’s the ligament laxity or the joints are a little bit looser in women, they tend to be more flexible, so when impact comes they move more and tend to be injured more during car accidents. If you have any further questions about whiplash injuries, you can go see your local rehabilitation therapist. Those therapists are either your massage therapist, your physiotherapist or your chiropractor.

Hi Mya, do you remember me? Do you remember the girl that told you how much pain she was in and how she was really struggling getting help with her pain and heath problems and you promised to do your best to help but then you decided that you would rather use our sessions to victimize yourself and tell me all lies and fibs and what awful employers Elana, Matt, Sally are and how they take all of the rich patients for themselves and give you all of the rift rafts. I just wanted to say that I have a new team of health professionals who are actually very knowledgeable, professional, experienced and interested in helping me get better and back to a normal functioning human being. No more listening to your pathetic lies and nonsense

I am a Muslim woman who lives in Richmond and to-date have not had any luck finding a woman massage therapist who can help me manage the pain and get back to a functioning life I tried Mia, I tried Elana and I also tried Sarra. Sarra should definitely move on to a different career path as communication was challenging to say the least. I would ask her a question and she would tell me that she has to think about it and then never give me a response in that session or in future sessions. Forget a therapeutic massage, my 8 year old gives a better massage than Sarra. Mia is not someone who I got helpful and caring vibes from and unfortunately she either did not care about my pain or she she didn’t care to help me. Disappointing because I had heard that she would definitely be able to help. Elana just wanted to talk to me about how she doesn’t agree with any of the diagnosis of my TCM doctor. It was annoying and unprofessional to say the least. I only went to these women massage therapists because of my TCM doctor and the entire time Elana is trying to pass me off to Mia and Sarra and neither Mia or Sarra have the experience or knowledge or massage expertise that I need. Clinic Therapy is run by Elana’s husband I think who is just biased and not someone who I or my husband felt comfortable with. He is so defensive and angry and we have no idea why. He did not seem to understand anything about Muslims and would keep telling me to try different male massage therapists. If you’re a Muslim woman looking for massage therapy for pain management, I do not recommend Mia or her two co-workers. They should all take a few minutes and educate themselves about Islam.

I had an incident with Mia that I do not feel comfortable to get into the details here but in my opinion both Mia and her employers handled it in the polar opposite of how an incident of it’s kind should be handled. Obviously I am no longer going to go to her after this incident but the way it was handled resulted me in not just not using Mia ever again but also in not using all of the others at the company. Now that I’m typing this and thinking about it, it suddenly dawned on me that they probably did not want me as a customer and that is why they handled it in a completely one sided and unfair and unprofessional manner.

She came highly recommended to me but my experiences with her were the complete opposite of the ones who highly recommended her. Not sure why. Last I checked all patients are supposed to be treated with the same respect and professionalism and to actually help them to the best of their abilities. It doesn’t make sense to me why I was not helped despite being in desperate need of treatments and massages and relief from debilitating pain.

Two thumbs down for Mia Hancock. She gave me very strange and unfriendly vibes. It was like she was judging me based on my body and clothes and the look was one of disapproval and judgement. I have seen her go out of her way to accommodate other patients. I was not treated like her other patients. I seriously felt that I was in high school again and that she was one of the cool kids who needed to go out of her way to show me that not only was I not liked but that I did not fit in. How sad to be treated like this in my thirties when all I am doing is trying to get help with pain and muscle spasms.

I hate to write a negative review but I think it is important that customers are honest and not bullied into writing a 5 star review. I have had lots of massages in my life and Mia's massages were not good and were not helping with my pains. Also, she is not an easy person to communicate with and I felt like I was dealing with a child who was having a tantrum and not a grown adult.

Her claim to glory is that she was trained the most by the owner of the company so she feels justified in her sour temperament, high prices and her subpar services. I did not have any results from her massages. She has a negative attitude, makes zero apologies for being late for appointments, cancellations at the last minute and for being on her phone during appointments. Out of all of the many massage therapists I have been to in my life, she wins the award for the worst one.
