Dr. Zoya Bashir was introduced to chiropractic at a young age as she played sports at a competitive level which resulted in a few injuries. After trying a few treatment options, she landed in Chiropractic care where she was finally provided with the relief she was seeking. Since then, she has been fascinated by the complexity and amazing natural healing ability of the human body, which motivated her to pursue education within the exercise science discipline. Dr. Bashir graduated with high distinction from the University of Western with an Honours specialized degree in Kinesiology and obtained a Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. She received intensive training in clinical biomechanics, neuromusculoskeletal diagnosis, manual therapy, nutrition, and exercise rehabilitation. Studying chiropractic has combined her interest in science with her passion for helping others perfectly. As a health care practitioner, Dr. Bashir believes in the importance of acting as a facilitator to provide individuals with the tools to reach their goals, whether it be conservative pain management, rehabilitation of an injury, or prevention of future injury through movement optimization. She has a passion for empowering individuals to maintain a pain- free, active lifestyle and be active decision- makers in their own care. Dr. Bashir has extensive knowledge and competency in diversified chiropractic techniques, myofascial release techniques, rehabilitation exercise, nutrition and patient education. Dr. Bashir is devoted to living a healthy- active lifestyle. In her spare time, Dr. Bashir enjoys spending time outdoors, horseback riding, and hiking.
