Bipolar disorders are a type of mood disorder. There are several subtypes of bipolar disorders. The most common ones are Bipolar 1 and 2 disorders. These affect approximately 5 percent of the population, which means that we have about 1.5 million people with this condition in Canada. Bipolar disorder is a serious psychiatric condition.

We all forget things as we age, but that doesn’t mean we have dementia. Dementia isn’t just one condition - it’s a term that refers to symptoms that cause a decline in mental ability that interferes with daily life. Alzheimer's is the most common type of dementia and accounts for 60 to 80 percent of cases. Vascular dementia is the second most common dementia type and occurs after a stroke. Memory loss that worsens over time can be another type of dementia.  Pour plus d'informations et les services locaux des psychiatres locaux à Montréal et à Québec PQ, contactez votre psychiatre local

She did not listen to me, and was very judgmental. She criticized my personality as being overly analytical. When I told her I felt ambushed by the PPD referral, she lectured me about my negative attitude towards postpartum depression! She did way more harm than good, and I would hesitate to accept any psychiatric referrals in the future. Sent a massive report containing I don’t know what to my primary care physician, but she wouldn’t discuss any of it with me. Seems underhanded. I shouldn’t be blindsided with a diagnosis at my next doctor’s appointment.

Such a horrible experience. She made me feel extremely uncomfortable and she misdiagnosed me with bipolar disorder, only because I speak fast when I had explained to her it was apart of my personality and many people in my family speak fast. She was extremely quick to diagnose me with depression when I ensured her I hadn't had any episodes of depression in years and had been cleared by my family doctor. She doesn't seem to care or make patients feel comfortable, the only thing she is capable of doing is sending you off with more medications making you feel unbalanced and crazy. I came in to her office having a relatively good day with my anxiety levels extremely low that day but by the end of her session my anxiety levels had heightened and my entire day was basically ruined. I do not recommend anyone waist there time with this doctor, and I'm one who doesn't write reviews either.
