Dr. Pierre Lévesque Bio

After studying in Montréal, Québec, Dr. Lévesque went on to study Biology at the Université de Moncton. He later received his degree in Chiropractic from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto, Ontario in 1987. Dr. Lévesque is a specialist in whiplash traumatology with over 30 years of experience in practice in the Greater Moncton Area. He holds a post-doctorate diploma for advanced studies in whiplash-related disorders and has been certified as an Independent Personal Injury Examiner with years of valuable experience in conducting personal injury independent assessment. Dr. Lévesque has also been accepted by the Court of Queen’s Bench of New Brunswick as an expert in the area of chiropractic sciences and has lectured to the New Brunswick Law Society. As well, his experience has been sought by the insurance industry and he has provided chiropractic expert testimony in numerous cases of whiplash litigation. Dr. Lévesque has an on-going commitment to bringing an increased awareness of chiropractic sciences to both the insurance industry and to the legal profession. He continues to promote evidence-based chiropractic care as it relates to whiplash injuries. Dr. Lévesque’s past list of accomplishments also includes his appointment as a consultant for the New Brunswick Chiropractic Association on whiplash-related issues, Chiropractic Advisor for several insurance companies, and was also a contributing author of a document by the Canadian Chiropractic Association entitled “A Practitioner’s Guide to Understanding Whiplash-Associated Disorders”. In 2008, Dr. Lévesque was appointed by the Canadian Chiropractic Association to become an evaluator for the RCMP, and in the same year, he became officially certified as a laser therapist with Meditech International. Dr Lévesque was the winner of the 2013 Meditech International Laser Practitioner of the Year Award. Dr. Lévesque brings an equal passion to his choice in recreation as he does to his profession. Having grown up in northwestern New Brunswick, where he was surrounded by pristine nature with hunting and fishing as pastimes, Dr. Lévesque seeks solace in the great outdoors. An expert and guide in the art of fly fishing, he has a special interest in Atlantic Salmon. A family oriented man, Dr. Lévesque is father to two wonderful children, Dr. Martin Levesque DC and Dr. Mireille Levesque MD, resident in internal medicine.
