Dr. Michel-Rancourt was born in Abu-Dhabi, UAE to an Egyptian family, then moved to Edmonton, Canada with her family in 1995 where she attended the University of Alberta for her undergraduate studies. She went on to medical school in Grand Cayman, then completed two years of residency in General Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Michel-Rancourt began her Family Medicine Residency in Akron, Ohio then made the decision to move back to Canada with her husband and baby girl. Dr. Michel-Rancourt has a special interest and expertise in performing minor surgical and aesthetic procedures. She also enjoys listening to, counseling and caring for adolescents.

    Dr. Michel is hands down THE best doctor I’ve ever had!! Very professional but totally down to earth. Takes the time to answer all my questions. I never feel rushed. I absolutely love her!! Highly recommend!!!

    Dr Monica is a wonderful family doctor. What I appreciate most is her understanding and quick insight into underlying issues with presenting problems. Dr. Monica is incredibly knowledgeable and quick to find appropriate interventions for the few chronic concerns other doctors have not addressed. She also went above and beyond, taking the time to ask her staff to call me immediately after lab results to assure me everything was normal. While my heart sank as a call from the doctor usually means the opposite, I was so grateful for a doctor who recognized my level of concern and went beyond to help ease my mind as quickly as possible. Dr Monica is an informed, efficient, supportive, insightful and caring practitioner. I wish I found her as a family doctor years ago!

    Quite shocked at the below reviews. Dr. Michel may be young and attractive but that does not take away from her unbelievable intelligence, and desire to improve quality of life. Additionally- the only MD to ever be prompt with her appointments. Unfortunately- she's become so busy over the years that I don't believe she is accepting new patients.

    Time and again, I have been treated successfully and found Dr. Rancourt, extremely knowledgeable. She takes the time to explain and does not rush you through. She does not do unnecessary treatments and she has helped my 96 year mom with dementia and been very patient with her. She treats the whole person and not just the disease and I trust her judgement.

    I've seen this doctor about 5 times and she's never touched me, never taken my blood pressure or pulse, listened to my heart, looked in my mouth or ears or examined the areas that I felt required attention. Sends her patients for blood work but doesn't check it so patients don't get notified of abnormal results. The only way I've learned of abnormal results is by checking the blood work myself on my e-health. It's difficult to put any faith in her but she can write a prescription if you know what you want and arrange a referral if you know who you need to see.
