Dr. Melissa Willgress, BSc, DC, Chiropractor Dr. Melissa Willgress Through holistic and preventative ways to help the body heal, Dr. Willgress uses a combination of chiropractic manipulation, ArthroStim adjustment, Somatics, Kinesiotaping, yoga, dynamic neuromuscular stabilization techniques (DNS), soft tissue therapies (Graston, Active Release, Fascial Release and Cupping) and corrective therapeutic exercises. Dr. Willgress has a special passion for mind-body medicine and has taken various courses on the subject including 200 hours of yoga teacher training in Bali, Mind Body Medicine training (Harvard Medicine), Somatics, Reiki and Shamanism training. These experiences have helped Melissa to become a mature leader in wellness and a person of true faith. Melissa Willgress was born and raised in Nanaimo. She graduated from the University of Victoria with a Bachelor of Science Degree and received her Doctor of Chiropractic from the Canadian Chiropractic College in Toronto. Dr. Melissa Willgress also cultivated her clinical skills during her extra internship at Muki Baum Treatment Center for adults with complex disabilities. She loves to help people manage their stress and trauma by alleviating it with adjustments, Somatics, yoga, meditation and breathing exercises.
