Dr. Brar-Hayer is born and raised in small town BC (Kitimat) where she participated in many sports including soccer, swimming and figure skating. She developed an affinity towards the discipline of karate and competing not only at the provincial and national level but also represented Canada at international competitions. Dr. Brar-Hayer attended the University of British Columbia on a academic scholarship and graduated with a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Education. She went on received her Doctorate of Chiropractic from the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon graduating with both clinical and academic honours in 2003. She has been in practice for over 18 years and has taken the fully body certifications and masters for Active Release. She enjoys taking her time with patients to assess and ensure there is an effective plan to return to regular activities. Dr Brar-Hayer loves working with all types of patients elderly, weekend warriors, active adults but has a passion for working with young athletes. Dr. Brar-Hayer currently works directly with the University of Calgary Rowing and Softball teams providing onsite and in office care provides. She is actively involved in the Calgary hockey, ringette and football communities and also provides care to high level hockey, football and soccer players. As the Clinic Director Dr. Brar-Hayer manages and oversees all practitioners at Movement Performance & Health clinic. If she is not at Movement Performance and Health, you can be sure to find her at an arena or football field with her kids.
