Dr. Lidia Mickelson is a chiropractor with a diverse background and a focus on providing care for patients of all ages. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Physiology from the University of Saskatchewan and went on to earn her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the University of Western States in 1997. After practicing as an associate doctor in Bothel, Washington for approximately two years, she married Dr. Scott Mickelson and relocated to Vernon, BC. Dr. Lidia's scope of practice encompasses the treatment of various spine and extremity joint conditions, with a particular emphasis on headaches, as well as cervical and lumbar disc injuries. She is experienced in caring for patients from newborns to centenarians, ensuring that individuals of all ages receive the chiropractic care they need. Outside of her professional endeavors, Dr. Lidia enjoys participating in outdoor activities with her family. She is an avid skier during the winter months and engages in running, sailing, and various water sports during the summer. Dr. Lidia has demonstrated a commitment to community involvement and volunteer work. She has volunteered as a tutor in the One to One Reading program and has served as a spokesperson for back injury prevention in television and radio commercials for Act Now BC and WorkSafe BC. Additionally, she has contributed her expertise as a member of the Health Practitioner Audit Committee for the BC Ministry of Health. Presently, Dr. Lidia holds important roles within the College of Chiropractors of BC (CCBC), serving as the Chair of the Patient Relations Committee and the Vice Chair of the Discipline Committee. She has also been elected as a board director for the CCBC. Dr. Lidia Mickelson is registered with the College of Chiropractors of BC and is a member of the BC Chiropractic Association, further demonstrating her commitment to maintaining professional standards and staying connected with her chiropractic community.
