Dr. Jordan Robert Osborne Bio

Dr. Jordan Osborne D.C. Dr. Osborne graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) in 2020 and from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2014 where he played varsity rugby and earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Health Sciences. As a teenager, Jordan developed several bouts of severe low back pain that limited him at times from attending school or playing sports. It wasn’t until he was introduced to a chiropractor through his undergraduate program that he gave one a try for his low back pain. He learned the appropriate management of pain from his chiropractor and that people don’t have a ‘bad back’ but more likely an improperly managed pain cycle. With immediate improvement, the decision to become a chiropractor was easy, as he wanted to help provide others with the same relief and understanding of their pain. Jordan believes each health care professional has their own specific skills and knowledge and that collaborating with other healthcare professionals leads to best patient outcomes. His interest in interprofessional collaboration earned him a clinical internship downtown at St. Michael’s Hospital providing chiropractic care for patients with musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction. Jordan has become passionate about proving his patients with wellness centered care, and works with his patients to help them achieve their desired health outcomes. He always strives to best educate his patients about their diagnosis and will discuss measures his patients can take to manage their pains and prevent them from becoming a recurring issue. He is trained in multiple joint mobilization and soft tissue therapies and will combine them with exercise prescription, nutritional counselling and rehabilitation plans when appropriate. Growing up in southern Ontario, Jordan always looked forward to travelling North to be with his family in and around Kirkland lake where he was able to go fishing, camping, hiking and snowmobiling. When given the opportunity to live in the North he couldn’t say no! Away from the clinic, you will see him playing recreational sports like hockey, volleyball and he even plans to dabble in curling. He is extremely excited to explore the area and settle in with his wife Alysse.

It's great that you're considering chiropractic care for various conditions. Chiropractors can indeed provide treatments to address neuromusculoskeletal issues, including those related to scoliosis, hip and pelvis pain, and shoulder arthritis. However, it's important to consult with a qualified healthcare professional, such as a local chiropractor, to determine the most appropriate treatment approach for your specific situation.

For scoliosis, chiropractic care may involve spinal adjustments and exercises aimed at improving posture and reducing spinal curvature. A chiropractor can assess the severity of scoliosis and provide appropriate treatment recommendations.

In the case of hip and pelvis pain, chiropractors can assess the underlying cause of the pain and provide treatments such as spinal adjustments, soft tissue therapy, exercises, and other modalities to alleviate symptoms and promote healing.

Regarding shoulder arthritis, chiropractors may offer non-surgical treatment options to help manage the condition. These options can include rest, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications (NSAIDs), chiropractic adjustments to improve range of motion, corticosteroid injections, and heat/cold therapy. However, the specific treatment plan would depend on the individual's condition and should be discussed with a chiropractor.

Remember, while chiropractic care can be beneficial for many individuals, it's important to have a thorough evaluation by a qualified healthcare professional to ensure that the treatments are appropriate for your specific needs. Consulting with a local chiropractor would allow you to discuss your condition in detail and determine the best course of action.
