Dr. Jeffrey Tancock is a highly experienced chiropractor who has been in full-time practice since 1982. With his patient-centered approach, he focuses on providing the most appropriate chiropractic adjustments, mobilizations, soft tissue/myofascial therapies, and Low Level Laser therapy to address injuries and problems effectively. He believes that this comprehensive approach, combined with exercise instruction and advice, leads to better outcomes for his patients. As a certified Graston Technique provider and registered Trigenics Practitioner, Dr. Tancock is skilled in detecting and treating myofascial adhesions, chronic inflammation, and other injuries using specialized soft tissue and muscle release techniques. This expertise allows him to target and address specific issues to promote healing and recovery. Dr. Tancock also incorporates the use of the Neuromechanical Impulse iQ adjusting instrument when appropriate, providing a precise and alternative method of delivering adjustments for patients who prefer it. Furthermore, he utilizes the MedX Low Level Laser to reduce inflammation and enhance the healing process for various conditions. With over three decades of experience, Dr. Tancock has been casting and prescribing custom-made orthotics since 1984. He has a high regard for the quality of products produced at Footmaxx, the current laboratory he collaborates with. Dr. Tancock earned his B.Sc. from Queen's University and the University of Western Ontario in 1978. He subsequently pursued his Doctorate in Chiropractic at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, graduating in 1982. After one year of practice in Kelowna, he opened an office in Victoria in 1983, working alongside his brother, Dr. John Tancock. They also operated a satellite practice on Saltspring Island for a year. Throughout his career, Dr. Tancock has actively contributed to the chiropractic profession. He served on the board of directors for the BC Chiropractic Association from 1991 to 1995 and maintains membership in the BC College of Chiropractors, the BC Chiropractic Association, and the Canadian Chiropractic Association. He also supports the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College as an alumni member. In addition, Dr. Tancock has been involved in various capacities in sports medicine, including serving on ICBC Committees, working as part of the sports medicine staff at the 1994 Commonwealth Games, Payless Pro Golf Tournaments, and the "ISC'S" World Championship Softball Tournament.
