We all forget things as we age, but that doesn’t mean we have dementia. Dementia isn’t just one condition - it’s a term that refers to symptoms that cause a decline in mental ability that interferes with daily life. Alzheimer's is the most common type of dementia and accounts for 60 to 80 percent of cases. Vascular dementia is the second most common dementia type and occurs after a stroke. I was extremely disappointed. A lot of availability but it just turns out that others before me knew to avoid him, in my opinion. Avoid this doctor, he is condescending, manipulative, controlling and disempowering. He is not compassionate nor a good listener, qualities that are very important in any physician but especially a psychiatrist!! If you do end up going, find a second doctor to compare him to...because something is just very off.
