Dr. Erik Klein Bio

DR. ERIK KLEIN, D.C. COMPANY CEO AND PRACTICING CHIROPRACTOR Dr. Erik Klein is an award-winning published Chiropractor with 19 years experience both as a clinician and a thought-leader in the health sector. Dr. Klein founded Town Health Solutions out of his home basement in Hampton in 2004 and grew it to include eight clinics, and over 40 associates and staff serving Atlantic Canada. Dr. Erik’s passion is treating complicated health conditions that have failed elsewhere. His approach is utilizing traditional chiropractic care, rehab techniques and adding functional neurology, modifying how the brain perceives pain and alters how the body reacts to injury. Dr. Klein is the only advanced practitioner of P-DTR (manual functional neurology) in Atlantic Canada. Don’t take his word for it, he was the very first rehabilitation professional to be named as one of Atlantic Canada’s Top 50 CEOs by Atlantic Business Magazine, having won three times (most recently in 2022), and he’s one of the top-rated doctors east of Montreal. Athletes seek him out as well. Dr. Erik was a chiropractic consultant to Team Canada that won gold at the 2023 World Junior Hockey Championship held in Moncton and Halifax. He has also treated athletes from the Olympic Games (Canada and Sierra Leone) to the recreational level. Organizations such as UNB Track and Field, St. Stephen Aces Junior A hockey, Minor football, and others rely on him to provide health support for their athletes on an ongoing basis. Further, he has served as the Director of Medical Services for the 2014 World Women’s Curling Championships. Dr. Klein’s style of practice is that of a problem solver, finding the ‘why’ in a person to establish long-term strategies toward achieving maximum health and function. Ever the innovator, Dr. Klein looked to re-map how healthcare is delivered in New Brunswick and abroad both system-wide and in the clinic. For four years, Dr. Erik was a member of the Board of Directors of Horizon Health Network where he oversaw a $1.3 Billion budget, covering 13,000 public sector health workers, and 100 facilities. Dr. Klein has also published two scientific papers on cervical spine pathology, with a current paper on knee disorders forthcoming. Other notable accomplishments include being the Canadian Chiropractic Associations 2016 Public Service Award winner, receiving the 2012 NBCA President’s Award, and finally, with partner Dr. Dan, an Atlantic finalist for the 2018 EY Entrepreneur of the Year Awards. To stay in shape, Dr. Klein runs masters track and field and most recently won sprint gold medals at the recent Canadian Indoor track championships held in Saint John in March, 2022. Dr. Klein is married to his beautiful wife Merab and has a daughter, Torunn. They reside in Hampton. It's great that you're considering chiropractic care for various conditions. Chiropractors can indeed provide treatments to address neuromusculoskeletal issues, including those related to scoliosis, hip and pelvis pain, and shoulder arthritis. However, it's important to consult with a qualified healthcare professional, such as a local chiropractor, to determine the most appropriate treatment approach for your specific situation.

For scoliosis, chiropractic care may involve spinal adjustments and exercises aimed at improving posture and reducing spinal curvature. A chiropractor can assess the severity of scoliosis and provide appropriate treatment recommendations.

In the case of hip and pelvis pain, chiropractors can assess the underlying cause of the pain and provide treatments such as spinal adjustments, soft tissue therapy, exercises, and other modalities to alleviate symptoms and promote healing.

Regarding shoulder arthritis, chiropractors may offer non-surgical treatment options to help manage the condition. These options can include rest, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications (NSAIDs), chiropractic adjustments to improve range of motion, corticosteroid injections, and heat/cold therapy. However, the specific treatment plan would depend on the individual's condition and should be discussed with a chiropractor.

Remember, while chiropractic care can be beneficial for many individuals, it's important to have a thorough evaluation by a qualified healthcare professional to ensure that the treatments are appropriate for your specific needs. Consulting with a local chiropractor would allow you to discuss your condition in detail and determine the best course of action.
