My knee has gotten severely swollen overnight and cannot possibly travel in any way to make it to my appointment tomorrow afternoon. I am in such severe pain. I just crawled on my bed to sleep and felt a pop so when I woke up this morning I could not move at all because I'm in so much pain. Can you please contact me ASAP to help me figure out what I should do? I was looking forward to seeing you to discuss all options to have a better quality of life. Now that I am going through this dilemma it really discourages me and ultimately depressed me. So much so that I am constantly crying right now. I have left messages for the staff nurse for your department.

Prednisone is a prescription steroid medication that is used to treat inflammation in the joints, skin, muscles, lungs and kidneys.
