Dr. Cara Curtis (D.C.) Dr. Cara will be on Maternity Leave starting May 2022, we wish her all the best and can’t wait to meet our new Pro Health baby! While she is away Dr. Alanna Blumhagen will be caring for her patients. Dr. Curtis hand picked Dr. Blumhagen, she has been mentoring her to ensure that all her patients can expect the same treatment they would receive by Dr. Curtis Dr. Cara Curtis has been practicing chiropractic since 2013 bringing years of wisdom and clinical experience to her patients. In her hometown of Peace River, she grew up figure skating competitively, which led her to seek chiropractic care at a young age. Needless to say, she fell in love instantly. She decided then that she too wanted to help young aspiring athletes like herself to stay healthy and pain free. Upon graduating high school Dr. Curtis received her Bachelor of Science with Specialization in Cell Biology from the University of Alberta. During her years spent at the University she worked as a research assistant in a Neuroprostheses and Rehabilitation laboratory. Her work on pressure ulcers under the supervision of Dr. Vivian Mushahwar was published in three different scientific journals. She then attended the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon where she graduated summa cum laude. Upon graduating Dr. Curtis practiced in Lake Oswego, OR where she specialized in the treatment of disc herniations. Dr. Curtis sustained this specific injury herself which has given her a unique perspective in its treatment & rehabilitation. Although disc herniations are her specialty and personal interest, Dr. Curtis has experience treating a wide range of conditions and patients of all ages. Dr. Curtis has taken additional training in Pediatrics and the Webster technique allowing her to treat children and pregnant women with better precision and expertise, modifying her technique to tailor to this specific patient subset. While out of the office, Dr. Curtis enjoys spending time with family & friends, practicing yoga, weight-lifting, golfing, snowboarding, and cooking healthy & nutritious meals. She believes in a healthy body and mind and approaches her patient care in the same way
