We all forget things as we age, but that doesn’t mean we have dementia. Dementia isn’t just one condition - it’s a term that refers to symptoms that cause a decline in mental ability that interferes with daily life. Alzheimer's is the most common type of dementia and accounts for 60 to 80 percent of cases. Vascular dementia is the second most common dementia type and occurs after a stroke. Memory loss that worsens over time can be another type of dementia.  Pour plus d'informations et les services locaux des psychiatres locaux à Montréal et à Québec PQ, contactez votre psychiatre local

If this is the same Dr Brian Guan working out of Segal Centre VGH, he’s a misogynistic arrogant ass who thinks he knows better than other doctors and DSM V. If you know yourself and have been through abuse of any kind, including by doctors he’ll think you have a personality disorder (handy to put a label on someone who stands up to power)- despite being told that multiple doctors wrongly diagnosed a lot of different personality disorders. I don’t have one. If I did I would be the first to admit it because I have done decades of work on myself, do not meet the criteria and an dead honest with myself. He doesn’t care about facts, has no faith that a patient knows anything, doesn’t truly listen, and will contradict a correct diagnosis. He’s dangerous for anyone with past abuse issues and will use such information to undo a patient’s real progress and send someone who is emotionally unstable into a downward spiral. Me, I’m just angry. This jackass cannot disempower me with his bullshit. I need help with monitoring meds and working with me on DBT and analyzing my mood mapping. I have Bipolar 1 and after decades of not having the right diagnosis and finally getting the right diagnosis this prick wanted to undo it. Judging from multiple other reviews I have read I’m not the only one to be jacked around by him one way or another. Because of him I have nowhere to go for help. He abused my trust. He should be fired.
