Dr. Brandon Parnham Bio

Dr. Brandon Parnham, DC, CSCS Dr. Parnham is a chiropractor and strength & conditioning coach located in beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia. He grew up playing box lacrosse and was a member of the Jr. A Barrie Lakeshores which ultimately led him to earn an athletic scholarship to Adrian College in the state of Michigan. During his time there, he was the Most Valuable Defensemen of Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association in the year 2013, All-Conference on two occasions, and two-time captain of the Adrian College lacrosse team. He attributes these accomplishments to his previous coaches and his passion to learn as much as he can about performance and the human body. After graduating with his bachelors in exercise science in 2015, he then attended Palmer West in San Jose, California to obtain a doctorate of chiropractic. Dr. Parnham graduated from Palmer West and was hired as an associate at SF Custom Chiropractic located in San Francisco, California. During his time at SF Custom, he treated industry leaders in tech and was mentored from the clinic director, Dr. Adam Jacobs, who was named SF Weekly “Best Chiropractor” in 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2019. Now Dr. Parnham operates out of The Studio located within Envision Physiotherapy. He offers chiropractic services and strength & conditioning. He treats weekend warriors, athletes, desk jockeys, children, seniors, and anyone who is suffering from acute or chronic pain. The main focus of his treatments is manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and most importantly education. Through education the patient is no longer dependent on the clinician and can take ownership in their own rehabilitation and prevent future injuries. Many of his patients transition to strength and conditioning after they overcome the set back of injury. This is one of his favourite aspects of his unique service and expertise, because patients discover how resilient their bodies can be and how to maximize their fitness potential.

It's great that you're considering chiropractic care for various conditions. Chiropractors can indeed provide treatments to address neuromusculoskeletal issues, including those related to scoliosis, hip and pelvis pain, and shoulder arthritis. However, it's important to consult with a qualified healthcare professional, such as a local chiropractor, to determine the most appropriate treatment approach for your specific situation.

For scoliosis, chiropractic care may involve spinal adjustments and exercises aimed at improving posture and reducing spinal curvature. A chiropractor can assess the severity of scoliosis and provide appropriate treatment recommendations.

In the case of hip and pelvis pain, chiropractors can assess the underlying cause of the pain and provide treatments such as spinal adjustments, soft tissue therapy, exercises, and other modalities to alleviate symptoms and promote healing.

Regarding shoulder arthritis, chiropractors may offer non-surgical treatment options to help manage the condition. These options can include rest, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications (NSAIDs), chiropractic adjustments to improve range of motion, corticosteroid injections, and heat/cold therapy. However, the specific treatment plan would depend on the individual's condition and should be discussed with a chiropractor.

Remember, while chiropractic care can be beneficial for many individuals, it's important to have a thorough evaluation by a qualified healthcare professional to ensure that the treatments are appropriate for your specific needs. Consulting with a local chiropractor would allow you to discuss your condition in detail and determine the best course of action.
