Dr. Alyssa was born and raised in Camrose, AB. She grew up playing a variety of team sports and during this time she was introduced to chiropractic care. Dr. Alyssa started her university education with a Bachelor of Science at the University of Alberta. Her love of sports, the human body and helping people achieve their goals led her to continue on to Minneapolis, MN where she obtained her Doctor of Chiropractic at Northwestern Health Sciences University. Her education allowed her to treat a variety of ages, conditions and walks of life. In her final internship, she found her passion for treating the pediatric, pregnancy and postpartum populations. Dr. Alyssa is certified in Graston technique and has training in prenatal care, post-natal rehabilitation, Activator method, concussion management and muscle release techniques. Her hands-on approach to treatment includes soft tissue therapy, traditional chiropractic adjustments, exercise prescription and education. She also loves to co-manage with other providers so that an all-encompassing approach to your well-being can be achieved. She loves helping people stay active and achieve their goals. In her spare time, you can find her playing soccer, slo-pitch, ball hockey or golf, going for runs in the river valley, working out at the gym, traveling, and hanging out with her friends and family. Being active is an important part of her life and she loves doing anything that keeps her moving.
