Baker's journey to success in his college career and plastic surgery can be summarized as follows: College Career: Enrolled at Oberlin College in Ohio and pursued a major in Chemistry. Excelled in his studies and graduated magna cum laude after four years. Completed a summer research project at the National Institutes of Health near Washington DC. Graduated Phi Beta Kappa and ranked near the top of his class. Decided to continue his education in New York City. Medical School: Enrolled in New York University's School of Medicine to pursue medical school. Confirmed his interest in a surgical career during his four years at NYU. Became a naturalized U.S. citizen with the support of his American stepfather. Pursued an elective in Plastic Surgery during his last year of medical school. Trained under the guidance of Plastic Surgery pioneers, including Dr. Joseph G. McCarthy, Dr. Paul Tessier in Paris, France, and Dr. Ernesto Caronni in Milan, Italy.
