Executive Chef Ned Bell from Windset Farms® makes Quickles

Duration: 1:27

Hey guys, it's Ned for Windset farms. Now, I want to show you just how easy it is to make your own pickles. A quick pickle that is, because we're all we're going to do is boil some vinegar, some salt, some sugar, you can use either red wine vinegar or white wine vinegar. Basically, whatever vinegar you've got.

We're going to add some bay leaves for a little bit of flavor, some mustard seeds. And to make them spicy, we're going to take a couple of our Gousto peppers from Windset. We're going to split them down the middle, just like so. Take out the seeds, pop those in our jar. And all we have to do is dissolve our red wine vinegar with a quarter cup of salt and a half cup of sugar. Just like so when that dissolves, bring it up to a boil. We've got our liquid over there, toss in some mustard seeds, a bay leaf - not only does this look pretty, but it's really easy to do.

Pour over our liquid. So, what's going to happen, look at that perfect. I think I want mine a little more spicy, so I'm going to take another pepper and pop it in. Close the lid. Let it refrigerate overnight and you've got homemade pickles, just that simple.
