We all forget things as we age, but that doesn’t mean we have dementia. Dementia isn’t just one condition - it’s a term that refers to symptoms that cause a decline in mental ability that interferes with daily life. Alzheimer's is the most common type of dementia and accounts for 60 to 80 percent of cases. Vascular dementia is the second most common dementia type and occurs after a stroke. Dr. Reynolds; total waste of time. doesn't listen, jumps to conclusions. just another typical pill pusher. furthermore he has no understanding of the systemic racism within. also, he violates ethical standards by asking questions about one patient when interviewing another.

When I found out Dr. Reynolds' report on our interview went into the general medical files at my local clinic, I was shocked to learn that any employee there, many who know me personally, could have access to it. I asked to see the report, and found there were several facts he misconstrued which painted a rather degrading picture of me and my family. I was allowed to correct the information, and he re-wrote his report. Sloppy work, and unprofessional I would say. I’m appalled that such intimate information I shared with him in session was not only misrepresented, but that he would allow it to go out of his office, up for public access to anyone in the clinic! The advice he offered was quite stereotyped, e.g. exercise, gratitude journaling, make meaningful social connections, focus on goals not barriers. Everyone tells me that already. I gained nothing new from him.

perfect example of the worst side of the mental health field. culturally insensitive for First Nations people, selectively spoon feeds info, ignoring full disclosure to get "his" way. says one thing during session and tells others something else. does not provide enough info for patient to even come close to the principle of informed consent. avoid unless no other options available & if Indigenous go through First Nations Health Authority.

This guy is useless to our community, he cares more for his job than his patients. He threw me under the bus when faced with defending a patient who has a valid reason or a low-level college. This has ruined all trust, and if I had a choice I would never ever see him again.
