Dr. Sarah Ytsma is an individual who has led an active lifestyle from a young age. She began playing softball in the local Chatham leagues at the age of 5 and continued to be involved in various sports throughout her education. During her time at John McGregor Secondary School, she actively participated in volleyball, basketball, and track and field. Throughout her athletic endeavors, Dr. Sarah encountered sports-related injuries and discovered the benefits of chiropractic care. This experience sparked her interest in anatomy and human mechanics, leading her to develop a passion for helping others with their movement and physical well-being. After completing high school, Dr. Sarah pursued higher education in Detroit, Michigan, attending Wayne State University. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Education with a major in Kinesiology, further deepening her understanding of human movement and the science behind it. During her time at Wayne State, she also played softball as a pitcher for the Warriors for four years. Dr. Sarah's academic journey continued at Logan College of Chiropractic, where she graduated Cum Laude in December 2010. She earned a Doctorate of Chiropractic degree and a Bachelor of Science in Life Science. Additionally, she completed her certificate in Clinical Acupuncture in April 2013, further expanding her knowledge and skill set in holistic healing practices. In addition to her professional pursuits, Dr. Sarah maintains an active and fulfilling personal life. She enjoys running, working out, and engaging in various sports activities such as volleyball and softball. Furthermore, she appreciates outdoor activities like boating, biking, and fishing. Dr. Sarah is married to Dr. Brian, and they have two children named Landen and Everett.
