Dr. Fernandez attended medical school and family practice residency at the University of British Columbia. Since that time, her practice has been focused on women’s health and maternity care. She also works with the Youth Pregnancy and Parenting program in Vancouver. She provides labour and birth care at BC Women’s Hospital. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Vancouver Division of Family Practice. She is passionate about maternity care and the unique skills that family doctors bring to pregnancy and birth care.
