Dr. Michael Luong Bio
Dr. Michael Luong, Cardiologist, Vancouver completed his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of British Columbia and his Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Toronto. He then completed his Internal Medicine and Cardiology training at UBC. He also has additional training in Advanced Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplantation. Dr. Luong is certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Internal Medicine and Cardiology.
Dr. Luong is fluent in English and Cantonese. He is particularly interested in heart failure and primary prevention. He is also a member of Sports Cardiology British Columbia and has contributed research projects and publications in that area. Dr. Luong firmly believes in the importance of patient advocacy and knowledge translation for both the general public and medical community.
Dr Michael Luong is a UBC clinical assistant professor and a member of the UBC Division of Cardiology. He has privileges at St. Paul’s Hospital, Mount St Joseph’s Hospital and Vancouver General Hospital. He works at the VGH Cardiohttps://www.acc.org/-Oncology Clinic and Cardiac Function Clinic and also in the Atrial Fibrillation Clinic at SPH. Is in good standing with the Canadian Cardiovascular Association and the Canadian Medical Association
