Dr. Graham was born in Saskatchewan. He completed an honours degree in Neuroscience at the University of Alberta and subsequently pursued graduate studies in Experimental Medicine with a grant from the Canadian Liver Foundation. He then attended medical school at the University of Calgary’s Cumming School of Medicine. His post-graduate training continued at the University of Calgary, with a residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. His fellowship training was in Hand and Microsurgery at the Christine M. Kleinert Institute and University of Louisville Hospitals in Louisville, Kentucky. Subsequently, he worked as a plastic surgeon in Louisville, Kentucky, before eventually returning home to Alberta. Dr. Graham is board certified in Plastic Surgery by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and board eligible by the American Board of Plastic Surgeons in the United States. Dr. Graham has been involved in some very unique cases. He was part of the surgical team in Louisville that performed a double hand transplant on the world’s oldest recipient, who had lost both her hands from complications of an infection. Dr. Graham and his partner in Louisville also performed one of the only twin to twin breast reconstruction transplants in the world, using one sister’s abdominal tissue to reconstruct her identical sisters breasts, which had been lost to cancer. Dr. Graham maintains an active and healthy lifestyle, outside of his busy career. He enjoys spending time with friends and family. He’s a Royal Conservatory trained classical guitarist and has enjoyed playing in many public performances with his siblings over the years. He has a strong passion for travel and has visited over fifty countries and six continents. He also enjoys skiing, golf, and scuba diving.
