Comprehensive Eye Examinations
Your eye examination includes the following tests:

  • Measurement of your vision for distance and reading
  • Assessment of the alignment of your eyes and their ability to work together
  • Determination of the prescription you require for distance, reading, and computer (if applicable)
  • Measurement of your eye pressure

Complete assessment of your eye health, which includes examination for cataracts, glaucoma and macular degeneration, as well as any other eye diseases or conditions that may be present. Diabetics are assessed for diabetic retinopathy and other diabetes-related ocular conditions.
In order to thoroughly assess your eye health, it may be necessary to use drops to dilate your eyes during the examination. Please come prepared to have your eyes dilated, by bringing sunglasses and someone to drive you home if you feel uncomfortable driving afterwards.

At the end of your examination, you will receive a written copy of your prescription.
