Q:

Can I wear my insulin pump while swimming?

A:

Insulin pumps are typically made with the claim that they are water resistant. If you are going swimming, you might feel concern over the pump being underwater for a length of time, or you just might not want your pump to be showing. It is safe to disconnect your insulin pump for a short period of time if you need to, and your diabetes care team can teach you all about disconnecting your pump and what you need to know.

Q:

How is hypothyroidism treated?

A:

The main goal of treating hypothyroidism is to replace some of the missing thyroid hormone. This can be done with prescription medication. If your symptoms are mild and your thyroid hormone is not extremely low, some minerals can be helpful in promoting thyroid gland function (such as selenium, zinc and iodine). However, it is recommended that you work with your doctor to determine the best treatment plan before self-treating with supplements.

Refractive Laser Eye Surgery - PRK, Lasik and SMILE

A:

Laser refractive surgery is a really exciting area with constant advancement and technology. There are three types of laser eye surgeries that are available today to try to remove glasses. All three of them have one thing in common, and that is that they’re reshaping the cornea, which is the front part of the eye.
