About Me Personal Statement: The exciting thing about research is its potential to have profound impacts on peoples’ lives. My areas of research focus are informed by my patients, who have taught me the value of not only living longer, but living better. Dr. Graham obtained her MD at the University of Ottawa, trained in Internal Medicine at Western University, Cardiology at Dalhousie University and Interventional Cardiology at the University of Calgary. Leadership and Collaborations: Dr. Graham is former Chair of both the Canadian Cardiovascular Society’s Scientific Program Committee and Guidelines Committee. She is Associate Editor of the Canadian Journal of Cardiology, and the Inaugural Editor in Chief of CJC Open, which published its first issue in January 2019. She has extensive experience with peer review agencies, including Chair or Scientific Officer duties for committees of the Canadian Institutes of Health Research. She also Chairs the Quality Management Committee at the Alberta Strategic Clinical Network for Cardiovascular Health and Stroke.
