Mr. Trevor Kwolek Bio

Trevor Kowlek, Physiotherapist, Centric Health, Foothill, Ontario Trevor is "fondly" referred to as "The Punisher" by his clients. Wielding a Master of Physiotherapy (University of Queensland, Australia), a Master of Clinical Science in Sports and Exercise Medicine (Western University), and a Bachelor's Degree in Health and Physical Education (University of Toronto), he is a triple threat.

Trevor developed his interest in upper limb and shoulder injuries after working in a specialist clinic in rural Australia; following five years of working overseas, he decided to bring his skills and passion back to Canada. Certified in dry needling and Western acupuncture, the Watson Headache Approach, exercise therapy and ultrasound imaging of the shoulder, the ConnectTherapy Series, the Shift Concussion Management Program (Levels I and II), and one of the few therapists in the Niagara Region holding a diploma level certification with Sport Physiotherapy Canada, he is committed to improving client care.

Beyond pursuing professional development opportunities, he is heavily involved in local athletics. Trevor is currently a Sport Physiotherapist for the Fort Erie Meteors (GOJHL - Junior B), the Welland Jackfish (Intercountry Baseball League), and the Niagara College Knights Varsity teams. In July 2022, he supported the Ontario Summer Games as a therapist for baseball athletes, and in August 2022 he supported the Canada Summer Games as a therapist for rowing athletes. In 2015 he also volunteered at the Pan Am Games as a therapist for golf athletes.

One to champion educational opportunities, Trevor is the Chair of the Program Advisory Committee (PAC) for the Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy Assistant programs at Niagara College. He also provides placement opportunities for students from Niagara College, Brock University, McMaster University, Western University and the University of Toronto, and is an Assistant Clinical Professor (Adjunct) with McMaster University.

To top it all off, he holds the title of doting/annoying father to 4 wild children, and loving husband to his incredible, gingery wife.

When you’re overweight, your heart and lungs work harder to supply oxygen throughout your body. Being overweight or obese can also puts extra strain on your joints, which can limit your mobility. To help maintain a healthy weight eat a heart-healthy diet and get regular exercise.
