Kerrie Boelsterli-Bailey Bio

Kerrie Boelsterli-Bailey, C. Ped (C), is a dedicated and passionate professional in the field of pedorthics. Her journey into the world of pedorthics began after she graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2010 with a background in Kinesiology. However, she felt that something was missing from her career and wanted to be more directly involved in patient treatment. Driven by her desire to make a meaningful impact on people's lives, Kerrie discovered pedorthics through digital advertising. Intrigued by the profession, she embarked on a journey to learn more about it by speaking with local pedorthists and specialists. Kerrie's decision to pursue pedorthics led her to enroll in the Pedorthic Program at Western University, where she quickly developed a strong passion for the practice. Kerrie's dedication to the field was evident when she joined the Pedorthic Association of Canada (PAC) as a Pedorthics Student in July 2012. After successfully completing her exams that fall, she officially began her career as a pedorthist, bringing her knowledge and enthusiasm to patient care. Throughout her journey, Kerrie's genuine enthusiasm for her profession shines through. She finds immense fulfillment in helping patients experience relief from pain and discomfort, and she appreciates the ability to make a positive impact relatively quickly compared to other healthcare professions. In her role at PAC, Kerrie's commitment to the field extends to mentorship. She had the opportunity to host a Pedorthics student from Western University's Continuing Study program, an experience she hopes to continue. Kerrie's goal is not only to impart knowledge and wisdom to her students but also to learn from them, fostering a mutually beneficial learning environment. Outside of her professional pursuits, Kerrie is grounded in her family life, residing in St. Thomas with her husband and two young children. They enjoy spending quality time together, whether it's walking the pier in Port Stanley during the summer or indulging in winter activities on local tobogganing hills. Through her dedication to pedorthics and her genuine enthusiasm for helping others, Kerrie Boelsterli-Bailey continues to make a positive impact on her patients and the field as a whole. Kerrie took the time for a thorough assessment, checking my range of motion, watching me walk, and explaining what is going on that could be resulting in my ankle pain. She also showed me what to look for when picking a show for my flat feet
