We all forget things as we age, but that doesn’t mean we have dementia. Dementia isn’t just one condition - it’s a term that refers to symptoms that cause a decline in mental ability that interferes with daily life. Alzheimer's is the most common type of dementia and accounts for 60 to 80 percent of cases. Vascular dementia is the second most common dementia type and occurs after a stroke. Memory loss that worsens over time can be another type of dementia.  Pour plus d'informations et les services locaux des psychiatres locaux à Montréal et à Québec PQ, contactez votre psychiatre local

She tried to kill me . She gave me a medication that was giving me suicidal thoughts while in a program called CREST based out of Abbotsford British Columbia . When I told her the medication was making me suicidal, she DOUBLED it !!! The support worker was with me at the time and the shock on her face as I was given double the dose , when she told me to tell Sonia Uppal that it was making me suicidal. My release day was the next day so I informed her if something happened to me when I went home my family would sue . For her to put me in an ambulance to emergency.. she pink slipped me .

I found Dr. Uppal to be caring, professional and very interested in sorting out my medication and coming up with a clear plan to help me with my decades long battles with GAD and PTSD. She is not a therapist so don't complain about her not sitting and listening to every detail of your trauma. she just needs to get basic facts so she can come up with a plan for you, and she can recommend counselling.

Dr Uppal was a huge disappointment to me. I have been dealing with mental health issues the past three years and I was hoping that she would be able to help me. She was not only sarcastic but painfully rude and made me realize and understand why some sufferers are sacred to seek help. I honestly never want to see a psychiatrist again even if I still cry and feel depressed . I dont want to be mocked again especially by the very people who are supposed to help you out.

Did not feel that I was properly treated. I genuinely needed to get professional help as I felt that my recent care was not enough for me. I drove back home very anxious and more depressed and suicidal then when I drove in to see her.
