Bipolar disorders are a type of mood disorder. There are several subtypes of bipolar disorders. The most common ones are Bipolar 1 and 2 disorders. These affect approximately 5 percent of the population, which means that we have about 1.5 million people with this condition in Canada. Bipolar disorder is a serious psychiatric condition.

We all forget things as we age, but that doesn’t mean we have dementia. Dementia isn’t just one condition - it’s a term that refers to symptoms that cause a decline in mental ability that interferes with daily life. Alzheimer's is the most common type of dementia and accounts for 60 to 80 percent of cases. Vascular dementia is the second most common dementia type and occurs after a stroke. Memory loss that worsens over time can be another type of dementia.  Pour plus d'informations et les services locaux des psychiatres locaux à Montréal et à Québec PQ, contactez votre psychiatre local

Pretentious pseudoscientist fancying himself to be a medical doctor engaged in science, while ordering people locked up, systematically depriving his patient(s) of his constitutionally protected human and civil rights, character assassinating and slandering his patient(s) (defamation of character, libel), irresponsible - does not acknowledge any accountability for the suffering, disempowerment, debilitation, incapacitation that he imposes on his patients through the use of community treatment orders (CTO), outpatient forced psychiatric drugging orders, forces chemical restraint on his patients thinking that drugging people with neuroleptics (i.e., dopamine antagonists/partial agonists/inverse agonists) he can cure psychosis, prevent "relapse", reduce the severity and likelihood of a future psychotic break -- all of which is contraindicated by the best available scientific evidence. He does not feel that he is to be held accountable for his brain disabling and mind obliterating interventions (forced pharmacological treatment for a "mental disorder"). He "diagnoses" mental illness by merely labeling people based on what they say, what is said about them, how they behave, etc - note: none of which can be a disease. He thinks that whether someone has a brain disease is a function of what one thinks about himself, if you do not agree his intellectually vapid and scientifically meaningless labeling of you, he declares that thereby you ipso facto lack insight into your condition, without having demonstrated that an illness even exists in the first place. He overlooks the negative effects of his treatments, blames them on the disease and ultimately on the patient, he has no problem using the power inherent in his position as a psychiatrist to enforce pseudoscientific and medically unnecessary pharmacological interventions for prophylactic / preventative "maintenance" treatment of whatever mental disorder he will label you with. He consistently ignores evidence that his treatment has negative effects, consistently being willingly ignorant (dumb on purpose) regarding the indisputable demonstrable fact that neuroleptics slow up and dampen down the central nervous system by a profoundly chemically restraining by occupying 70% - 90% of dopamine (D2) receptors, thereby causing severe cognitive impairment and intellectual deficits, anhedonia (lack of the ability to feel pleasure out of food, music, drugs, sex; reduces one's zest for life, quality of life, cuts life expectancy by a 1/3 (a third; i.e., by 25 years earlier death), metabolic and hormonal dysfunction, brain atrophy (frontal lobes, the part of our brain that distinguishes humans from other animals). I could write essays about the extent to which he fails as a professional. Suffice it say, he is a pathetic televangelist shrink, a sheister fraud, a charlatan, and a pseudoscientist ignorant of basic science and the philosophy of science who would not even count as a semiliterate in actual science or philosophy of science (he could not pass a 2nd year level philosophy seminar, let alone understand what a theory means in science, etc). He is clearly insufficiently educated in the areas in which he claims expertise. He is willingly ignorant, that is, dumb on purpose! He is unethical as a professional and immoral as a human being. He not an empathetic person, and he could not give a care in this world for the actual health and well-being of his patients.
