We all forget things as we age, but that doesn’t mean we have dementia. Dementia isn’t just one condition - it’s a term that refers to symptoms that cause a decline in mental ability that interferes with daily life. Alzheimer's is the most common type of dementia and accounts for 60 to 80 percent of cases. Vascular dementia is the second most common dementia type and occurs after a stroke. Memory loss that worsens over time can be another type of dementia.  Pour plus d'informations et les services locaux des psychiatres locaux à Montréal et à Québec PQ, contactez votre psychiatre local

This doc misdiagnosed me with borderline personality disorder. She is unfamiliar with ADHD, which I actually have, and that at the time I was taking high doses of adderall, (prescribed by another doctor) which causes anger issues, thus her ignorance of both ADHD and drug side effects created the misdiagnosis that had even my family doctor shaking her head. The handouts she gave me were of little use because nothing addressed the specific problems created by the neurodevelopmental disorder.

One of the best doctors I have ever had the honor of working with (I have worked with many). She is kind, caring, invested in my safety and support. I have never before felt so securely cared for by a doctor. The other rating on this site is faulty. I am just here to state the truth of her capacity and wonderful standard of care. Also in terms of solution based plans she is thorough and she follows through in a variety of effective ways. Thank you Dr Zuberbier, for being here and being such a life-saving support.

Her focus and interest is very narrow in terms of the clients she is actually interested in helping, specifically people who are very passive with symptoms of either depression or mild anxiety disorders. Although I discussed my phobias she didn't seem interested in focussing on them. She spent most of the time giving homework sheets to fill out-basic cognitive therapy, which only works if you're doing pretty well to begin with. I could have just read a book...did not find her helpful. I was dealing with severe trauma and I want to warn others-she's a bit of a cold one so don't expect much sympathy or understanding.
