We all forget things as we age, but that doesn’t mean we have dementia. Dementia isn’t just one condition - it’s a term that refers to symptoms that cause a decline in mental ability that interferes with daily life. Alzheimer's is the most common type of dementia and accounts for 60 to 80 percent of cases. Vascular dementia is the second most common dementia type and occurs after a stroke. Memory loss that worsens over time can be another type of dementia.  Pour plus d'informations et les services locaux des psychiatres locaux à Montréal et à Québec PQ, contactez votre psychiatre local

Seconding the previous one-star comment. Dr. Martin shared my personal information, missed obvious signs of abuse (which were not obvious to me, as a child) and pushed antipsychotic prescriptions (again, to a child) over any actual help. If you are a parent reading this: choose someone else.

Doctor Martin is the worst psychiatrist I ever had. She didn’t know anything about me after seeing her for over a year and would ask me the same questions every time I saw her. She was cold and mean. She told personal information that I told her to my parents WHICH IS ILLEGAL (it had nothing to do with my safety or anyone else’s it was just about what made me stressed)

Dr. Martin was patient and never pushed me but more guided me thru some difficult years and taught me the power of choices and how to try and make mindful ones. Thanks to the services she provided I was able to achieve much success and how to ask for help when needed. Thank you so much
