We all forget things as we age, but that doesn’t mean we have dementia. Dementia isn’t just one condition - it’s a term that refers to symptoms that cause a decline in mental ability that interferes with daily life. Alzheimer's is the most common type of dementia and accounts for 60 to 80 percent of cases. Vascular dementia is the second most common dementia type and occurs after a stroke. Memory loss that worsens over time can be another type of dementia.  Pour plus d'informations et les services locaux des psychiatres locaux à Montréal et à Québec PQ, contactez votre psychiatre local

I have no real compliments regarding Dr.Cummins practice as a psychiatrist. She did not believe what I was telling her and belived my symptoms to be false. I did not disclose all of my feelings and delusions to her due to her jugemental Attitude and her inability to recognize that I legitimately had an issue. She disregarded the reports of one psychiatrist and am neurologist stating that both were “incorrect with their diagnosis”, however did not take the time to read the previous reports written by both. These reports had happened only months prior to my appointment with Dr. Cummins. I would not recommend this doctor to any one who is suffering from a mental illness, as she single handedly rendered my family at risk, myself and destroyed my hopes of getting an understanding and a feeling of trust in our medical system. She demonstrated the inability to be compassionate and caring. Her bedside manner was horrible, she came across as very judgemental and critical of my feelings and so much as called me a liar. Bottom line being she is not a Doctor I would ever recommend, and would clearly state this to anyone who is under her care.
