We all forget things as we age, but that doesn’t mean we have dementia. Dementia isn’t just one condition - it’s a term that refers to symptoms that cause a decline in mental ability that interferes with daily life. Alzheimer's is the most common type of dementia and accounts for 60 to 80 percent of cases. Vascular dementia is the second most common dementia type and occurs after a stroke. Memory loss that worsens over time can be another type of dementia.  Pour plus d'informations et les services locaux des psychiatres locaux à Montréal et à Québec PQ, contactez votre psychiatre local

My challenged wife having taken over by community living of Toronto was sharing with me in distress crying that no one loved her and she wanted to end her life. Our doctor, Dr. Filipzuck would not make an app for Cathy and I couldn't find anyone to support me where I lived in apt alone.. I gave up and left the city feeling so rejected by this doctor that would stand by and not help Cathy in her distress. Toronto Police called me that Cathy had been sexually assaulted which caused me to return to the City. Upon confronting Filipzuck his answer about how much he cared was as one would believe he wanted the worst possible out come for his patient and said don't come back! I know now who a friend of Cathy's that went to this doctors emergency for help did not want to ask and took her life because some doctor like this would make her feel and jump 7 stories to her death ...Great to know that this doctor works like this. I cannot bring myself to ask for help here knowing someone I knew was denied help and turned away. She took her life by jumping off a building as she was made to feel she could not return to get help. Dr. Filipzuck spoke to me his words which confirmed his idea of no help. ""Don't come back!" No fllowup app will never happen as Cathy my challenged wife was crying in front of me saying no one loves her and she wanted to die with her mom and jump in front of a train. This I could not accept and called a number of times to Filipzuck office who wouldn't answer one call for help. And he denies any accountability to this day as if there was some intent to let his patient die in a self idea as this. I'd be stupid not to say anything to the Police. And what bothers me more is he is still working here at this hospital and I'm left with no one to ask for help!

Dr. Filipzuck is not a doctor I would ever want to see again.. I came to him with my wife Cathy who shared with me that she wanted to take her life and jump in front of a subway train. I tried to make app a number of times he refused to the point I gave up my apt to live and faced the streets wanting to even take my life believing our own doctor would just let it happen an deny he was our doctor at all. I complained to the Toronto Police. He did nothing but said to me..don't come back which I took as a threat against my well being and life. A friend of Cathys my wife was sent to his emergency for help was turned away. She took her life from 7 story balcony above our apt. Dr. Filipzuck Denys any knowledge of this is only showing how incompetent he really is and wants no accountability for the damage he causes me and Cathy crying in front of me...I'd be dam stupid to come to an emergency room with him there. To me he is responsible for our friends life and he is doing it to me and Cathy. The worst about this is they will do nothing and he keeps working at this hospital. One day perhaps he will no what it feels like to be turned away and told ..but I doubt it at all. He is suppose to stop someone from taking their life.He would just stand there and watch the person end their life.

I have been left in crisis since I last saw this doctor for concerns for my challenged with of which I cannot find help for as she communicated she has been sexually assaulted and hope and wanted to take her life. Filipczuck refused to answer my calls for help as I could not cope with this news and confronted him at his clinic. He just turned me away and would not talk to me and said, "Don't come back!" I was left on the streets at this point and took his remarks quiet seriously and found myself wanting to take my life. I complained to the Toronto Police about his colleague that a friend of ours and Cathy took her life after coming to his emergency for help. Filipczuck has no answer for this execpt to say he knows nothing which I feel he has no empathy and wants no accountability. I would never want to walk into the care of this doctor again knowing the care that he self rejects and cause his patients to give up and take their lives. Bradley Hitchcock ,,Cathy my wife is lost completely with no care from this doctor or followup is the worst experience of care I've had and will never come to this emergency for help ever again.

I would never come to this Doctor for help after refusing my concerns for someone who Filipzuck who would doing nothing but turn away. She took her life from 7th floor balcony the next day after sent to this emergency room for help from Doctors like the doctor I have Dr. Filipzuck! He would just stand there and do nothing but say don't come back when in crisis to one who wanted help but chose to take their life rather than ask for help this Doctor refused.v The Police should press charges against this medical team that refused and turned away my friend. He even makes me feel like this. Why they have a doctor still working here like this is not a doctor to see that cares for life in my opinion.

I would never come to this doctor for anything after the care that failed in my marriage to Cathy of special needs taken by Community Living Toronto. Cathy crying in front of me two years after she was taken Dr Filipzuck deny my calls for help when Cathy said she wanted to take her life in front of a train and die with her mom who was on unmarked grave North of the City. We had no bereavement or followup app counselling at all.. After a call from Toronto Police that Cathy accused a pastor of sexual assault.. I had a as light heart attack with this news when I was in Northern Ontario. I've been left in the streets since the past two years. When I sought out Dr. Filipzuck for help he said don't come back and denied any help when I was in crisis about Cathy's well being. In fact it bothered me so much that I contacted the Toronto Police to investigate the failure of his emergency care at St. Joseph Hospital that turned away a friend of Cathy who we sent for help to this emergency health provider: she took her life from the balcony about us the next day. Dr Filipzuck Denys any knowledge of this and distances himself from all accountability. This is not a doctor to trust with your life like I have experienced. His words to say don't come back is the evidence that caused someone like our friend Janrme to take her life because the dovlctor that denied care to her is the doctor I know personally who turned me away to feel the same and could not ask for help again. Cathy is lost to one of the worst experiences of care I have ever known by a doctor like this! And he is still working here..??

Dr. Filipczuk is an incredibly compationate man and will take the time to listen and offer helpful suggestions. He is empathetic and when all other doctors have left for the day he will spend the extra time in an effort to help you deal with your crisis.

I was a patient of Mark from 1989-93. After completing my degrees and becoming a teacher I taught in New Zealand from 1996-97. Upon my return, I phoned Mark to get a recommendation to another therapist if his patient list was full. After three unreturned calls I simply gave up on this man with no empathy. As a teacher, I return 100% of parent calls. Unfortunately, Mark simply doesn't care in my opinion and is simply cashing in until his retirement which is quickly approaching. He is also very homophobic. Stay away from Mark at all costs. I have so little respect for this man I refuse to even refer to him as a doctor. Expect more empathy from your local vet. Kenneth Windrim
