We all forget things as we age, but that doesn’t mean we have dementia. Dementia isn’t just one condition - it’s a term that refers to symptoms that cause a decline in mental ability that interferes with daily life. Alzheimer's is the most common type of dementia and accounts for 60 to 80 percent of cases. Vascular dementia is the second most common dementia type and occurs after a stroke. Memory loss that worsens over time can be another type of dementia.  Pour plus d'informations et les services locaux des psychiatres locaux à Montréal et à Québec PQ, contactez votre psychiatre local

Dr. Martin is exceptional at identifying issues, and working alongside patients to figure out appropriate courses of action. He is exceptionally astute overall. As far as "bedside manner" he is friendly and unjudgemental while remaining objective in his assessments. After years of testing the wrong medication after being misdiagnosed, Dr. Martin quickly identified my condition. From there he actively worked with me to prescribe and monitor the appropriate medication. My life has changed drastically and positively because of Dr. Martin. Moreover, he works with everyday coping strategies and he genuinely cares about his patients. He is the best doctor I have ever had.

Dr. Martin changed my life. He quickly realized that I had been misdiagnosed as bipolar and diagnosed my ADHD. He is inquisitive and genuinely caring and warm, not to mention well educated and clearly very good at his job. Since seeing Dr, Martin in November 2018 I went from someone struggling with employment or completing tasks, prone to emotional outbursts, immature, constantly overwhelmed, unable to sleep many nights to a full time student who is at the top of the class, who can sleep, and anxiety and emotions are much more controlled. I feel as if I've matured 15 years in only two years. I don't think a better psychiatrist exists on this planet.
