Grant Millar permanently brain damaged my 19 year old daughter when she developed SIADH, a common side effect of all psychiatric medications. He failed to hospitalize my daughter when she lost 40 lbs and developed a life threatening electrolyte imbalance and cerebral edema. He then claimed to have cured her brain damage with Seroquel but was actually putting her at further risk of brain damage, coma and death. He then concealed his negligence and didn't tell her GP that she had suffered neurologic injury. He refused to involve neurology or order an MRI and refused to talk to me. He recorded her background history incorrectly while she had hyponatremic encephalopathy. He prevented me from getting a neurology consult claiming she was "always like that". She developed benzodiazepine dependence while recovering from brain damage due to over-prescribing by his colleague. He refused to listen to my daughter or me, believing she was mentally ill all along. He never explained to my daughter how she suffered brain damage or arranged any follow up supports or rehabilitation. He let her carry all his psychiatric mis-diagnosis that he made while she had a fatal medical condition by failing to write a discharge summary. Arrogant, negligent and inept.
